Welcome to Ochil Medical Practice
The practice will be closed all day on Monday 9 September.
If you require urgent medical advice during this time please call NHS24 on 111. In a medical emergency call 999.
Practice staff will ask you for some general information to help you to see or speak to the most appropriate person in the practice. This may not always be with a doctor, but with another member of the health care team, pharmacists, mental health nurses, physiotherapists, general practice nurses, or advanced nurse practitioners who may be available to help.
Before you get in touch, please consider whether you can manage your condition safely yourself by getting advice from our self-help guides on NHS Inform or by speaking with your local pharmacist.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Important Information for Patients Attending Private Hospitals and Clinics
Due to long waiting times for investigations, specialist appointments and operations within the NHS, some people are deciding to attend private hospitals and clinics, locally and abroad.
If you are thinking about using a private health care provider, either by self-funding or private health insurance, we strongly advise you to consult one of our doctors beforehand to discuss things such as your expectation of treatment and follow up. Your GP will not usually be in a position to recommend a specific specialist and you are advised to do some research when deciding whether a health care provider is safe and suitable.
Please be aware that Ochil Medical Practice is contracted to provide health services in line with our General Medical Services contract, on behalf of NHS Forth Valley, and is not under any obligation to follow any request from private health providers.
We would like to remind patients and visitors that we operate a zero tolerance approach regarding verbal abuse and intimidation of staff.
We thank you for your continued support.
Ochil Medical Practice is a full, equal partnership with no restrictions or limitations. We operate within the Clackmannanshire Community Health Partnership (CHP) and are contracted to Forth Valley NHS Board to provide General Medical Services (GMS) to patients registered with our practice and to temporary residents within our practice boundary (as agreed with NHS Forth Valley (NHS Board)).
We provide immediately necessary treatment to any person who has a medical emergency within our practice boundary and who is not registered with the practice. We are not a training practice.
Details of primary medical services provided in the area can be obtained from NHS Forth Valley (NHS Board), Carseview House, Castle Business Park, Stirling, FK9 4SW. Telephone: 01786 463031. Fax: 01786 451474.
